One Foolproof Way to Make Your Salad Divine with Just 2 Ingredients

One Foolproof Way to Make Your Salad Divine with Just 2 Ingredients

So, you know you should make your own salad dressing at home, because you want to avoid added sugars, salt, artificial flavorings, and preservatives found in many store-bought dressings.

But you are tired of the same old olive oil, garlic, vinegar taste, (always a loyal standby),

And you need inspiration!

That’s why you’ll love this post. This dressing is divine (seriously) and it only takes 2 ingredients-olive oil and vinegar.

Here’s your hint on how to make 2 ingredients extra special:

Purchase flavored olive oil and flavored balsamic vinegars- how easy is that? I am currently on a kick with apricot white balsamic vinegar mixed with extra virgin olive oil. To make the salad pictured above, combine baby lettuce greens, dried apricots, raisins, pepitas, pistachios, and goat cheese.I also just purchased gremolata olive oil flavored with lemon, parsley, mint, and basil to dress a salad or saute vegetables in, as well as a blackberry ginger balsamic vinegar, which I have stirred into vanilla Greek yogurt with local honey and blueberries, as well as drizzled over a bowl of freshly cut watermelon. Divine!

How easy and delicious is that?

P.S. Check out my favorite oil and vinegar source that presses real whole food ingredients to flavor their products naturally. Here’s your link: Oro di Oliva

Why: olive oils contain polyphenols, which act as an antioxidant in the body to neutralize free radicals. Hint: the higher the polyphenol content, the higher the antioxidant activity. The takeaway: purchase olive oils with a higher polyphenol count, as well as olive oils packaged in dark glass bottles (you don’t want your olive oil to go rancid in the light!)
